Andrew & The Pretty Punchers, Saturday @ Canal Street Tavern

.

ANDREW & THE PRETTY PUNCHERS will be playing this Saturday, June 20th at the Canal Street Tavern. Also on the bill are Jesse Remnant & The Trainwrecks and Okay Lindon.

The show starts at "around 9:00" and I suspect that the Pretty Punchers will play second. The cover charge is $5.00
.

This could be the last show for awhile as recording begins soon for the follow-up release to last year's critically-acclaimed "Goodbye Ohio."

Recording has already begun for a quite promising side project titled TABLES & CHAIRS. This release will feature the Pretty Punchers and several guest players. The CD will serve as a launching pad for an entirely new musical direction, and a completely brand new genre of music, previously both unheard of, and unheard by, our collective world weary ear. This new genre will be called "really fucking sad" music. This Saturday's show may feature a song or two from this new musical direction/project.

And speaking of "really fucking sad" . . . Saturday's show *might* also be the last live performance by the existing ANDREW & THE PRETTY PUNCHERS line-up.
So don't say that I didn't warn you.

SEE YOU SATURDAY!

And dancers? . . . Don't forget those carpet squares!

[PLEASE NOTE: The Canal Street Tavern now requires all dancers to use carpet squares because of damage to the floor caused by previous ANDREW & THE PRETTY PUNCHERS show attendees]

In conclusion, a brief word from Kurt, perennial Pretty Punchers fanboy and temporarily displaced roommate:

Hello.

My name is Kurt.

I just wanted everyone to know that I would be going to the
ANDREW & THE PRETTY PUNCHERS show this Saturday dressed in a young boy's t-shirt and underpants with my head surgically attached to the same young boy's body (see above) if I wasn't off the coast of Alaska on a commercial fishing boat called the Laguna Star hauling in salmon by the ton.

So what's your excuse, pal?

That's what I thought.

So you go ahead go to the show - OK?

Go on now . . .

GIT!

Thank you.
